Elizabeth Pollack, LCSW-C
Elizabeth (Lisa) Pollack, LCSW-C has been a professional therapist for over 35 years, with experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She was a therapist on multidisciplinary treatment teams at Taylor Manor Hospital and Psychiatric Institute of Montgomery County. She was the Clinical Supervisor at Navy Family Service Center, both at Little Creek and Oceana Naval Stations in Virginia. She began practicing in Frederick in 1990, co-managing the Frederick Employee Assistance Program. There she provided clinical services to employees as well as supervisory training to businesses in the Frederick area.
Lisa joined Blue Ridge in 1998, working with adults in both individual and couples therapy. Lisa has extensive experience in helping those who are experiencing relationship problems, mood and anxiety disorders and loss or adjustment issues.
Lisa earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1982. She received post-graduate training in family therapy at Philadelphia School of Child Guidance. She has advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy and certification from the National Board of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists.
Lisa has extensive training and special interest in couples therapy. Her training includes the Couples Therapy Institute offered by the Maryland Psychological Association and an intensive training program in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
