Mary Beth Curry, LCPC ACC
Mary Beth Curry is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) practicing since 2003. Her specialty areas include: eating disorders, recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, and personality disorders. She uses cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies (CBT & DBT) while providing therapeutic support to adolescents, adults, couples and families. Mary Beth is on the Eating Disorder Program at Blue Ridge Behavior Health.
Mary Beth’s has experience working with a variety of populations and in a range settings. She provided treatment of severe psychosis in an adult day treatment program and individual and group therapy in a methadone treatment center. She also worked in several university counseling centers, providing treatment of eating disorders, attachment and adjustment disorders, and depression. While at the University of Vermont (UVM), she was the chair of the multidisciplinary eating disorder treatment team: Help Overcome Problem Eating (HOPE) which was comprised of a medical doctor, psychiatrist, nutritionist, athletic trainer and counselors.
She earned a BA in psychology from West Virginia University (1990), a MS in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University (2003) and is currently in dissertation phase towards a doctorate in educational leadership at University of Pennsylvania.
