Payment for your appointment is expected at the conclusion of your visit. Payment can be made by cash, check, Master Card, Discover Card or Visa.
Many of our patients utilize out-of-network benefits. If you are using an out-of-network benefit, you will pay Blue Ridge in full at each appointment. You then file a claim with your insurance company to receive reimbursement. We do NOT submit bills to insurance companies if you use an out-of-network plan benefit. For more information, please read the "If you plan to use out-of-network benefits..." section on this page.

Insurance Payments We Accept
We participate with United Healthcare (UHC). The UHC products include: Optimum Choice, MDIPA, UBH Select and Select Plus, UBH Choice and Choice Plus, OneNet, and UMR. For these companies, we will bill on your behalf, but you are responsible for the co-pay, co-insurance, and/or the deductible.
MDIPA and Optimum Choice require you to get a referral from your primary care physician. We must receive the referral BEFORE your first visit in order to bill these insurance companies. If the referral is not received, the appointment will be rescheduled.
If you plan to use out-of-network benefits...
It is important to know your insurance company's rules and requirements. You may need pre-authorization before you can begin treatment. Treatment plans may also be required to begin or continue treatment. Each insurance company has very specific steps for you to complete in order to get reimbursed for your payment to Blue Ridge. We strongly recommend that you contact your insurance company before your first visit. Please use the link below, “Questions to ask your insurance company”, to obtain a list of questions that need to be answered to successfully file a claim with your insurance for out-of-network benefits.
Look for their phone number(s) on the back of your insurance card.
