Meet Our Psychiatrists
Shin-Bey Chang, MD
Shin-Bey Chang, MD is board certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Chang is a native New Yorker who completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed both her adult psychiatry residency program and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD where she also served as chief resident. Prior to joining Blue Ridge Behavioral Health in 2020, Dr. Chang was the director of an outpatient mental health clinic for children and adolescents as well as a partial hospitalization program that treated acutely and severely ill children in a community hospital in Baltimore, MD for over 5 years.
Dr. Chang provides treatment, evaluation, and consultation services for children, adolescents, and adults. She has a wide range of clinical interests which include neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, disruptive behavior disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis, and community psychiatry.
Zeb Khan, MD
Zeb Khan, MD is Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed a four year rotational training program in General Psychiatry at the University of Manchester in England, United Kingdom. Dr. Khan also completed an additional two years of training in Adult Psychiatry at the University Hospitals of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. He completed his training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. From 1989 to 1992 he served as a clinical fellow in the department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Khan has been in private practice since 1991 and joined Blue Ridge Behavioral Health Services in 2000. He provides psychiatric services primarily to children and adolescents but devotes a small amount of time seeing adults as well. His areas of interest are depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder in children and young adolescent. He treats a wide variety of psychiatric disorders in his practice and has extensive experience in long term work with severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. He has been a consultant at the Jefferson Residential School in Frederick Maryland since 1999.
Dr Khan is a past member of British Medical Association and General Medical Council in London. Presently he is a member of American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and American Medical Association. He is also affiliated with Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Grace Thammasuvimol, MD
Grace Thammasuvimol, M.D. is board certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and provides consultation, evaluation, and ongoing treatment to children, adolescents, and adults. She graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park and Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her medical training with residency in general adult psychiatry and then fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD and also served as chief resident.
Dr. Thammasuvimol joined Blue Ridge Behavioral Health in 2014 and her clinical interests include psychopharmacology, transitional age youth, women’s mental health, and the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, psychosis, and autism spectrum disorder.
